 Crappy Bike

So im just starting out bmx after a switch from skateboarding and i
figured that a "bmx"bike that i found in the woods would be fine
I have ridden a real bmxbike before and i felt much heavier than my bike.
would this bike prevent me from learning

Well im not sure what kind of bike you found but most of the time your bike will hold you back depending on what you get. The bike may hold you back for a little while but once you start progressing you may need to buy a good bmx bike from danscomp.com or some other place

Good bike = Less than 30lbs (Preferably between 25-23lbs), 33 or less tooth sprocket, high grip tires, sealed rim, and a correct gear ratio. (See Danscomp.com for gear ratio chart.)

hahahaha i love how none of those things apply to me
ill just mistmatch some parts from other bikes
i havent weighed my bike because i have no way of doing so but thanks for the help

if you want to weigh your bike get on a scale and weigh yourself then get on the scale holding your bike and subtract the weight difference to see how much the bike ways.
